Anita Lerche
Bollywood Dance & Punjabi Concert
Fælledparken, Copenhagen
24. July 2008

I recieved an invitation to attend the Bollywood Dance Concert by Anita Lerche in Fælledparken and as I always been interested ind the Eastern Cultures I took this oportunity to meet Anita Lerche as well.

I met quite a different audience as I'm used to at music events! A lot of dancing, smiling and laughting Indian and Punjabi people enjoied the concert. I very amusing experience.
Anita gave a sing-back show backed by Dholi Jazz on live drums. And the Indian dancer / choreographer, Murari Lal Saini, joined her on Passport.
I was surprised to hear Anita singing the Bhangra songs that close to the the native female Punjabi singers' style! Anita appeared so charming and sweet that I'm sure that many among the audience fell in love with her. She was so amazing!

The absolute highlight of the concert was when Anita sang the traditional Heer. It's a girl married to another man, longing for her true love. A real Romeo And Julie plot. Anita sang the heartfelt song very beautifully.
